Ready For Your Floors To Shine?
Why Replace When You Can Restore?
If you have hard wood floors in your home, you probably enjoy the luster and elegance they provide in a very inviting way. However, if your floors are dirty or in need of a revamping, they can make your home look dingy. Thankfully, Lovejoy Carpet Care can provide you with the services you need to bring it back up to the original glamour.
These professionals will be able to make your hard wood floors look as good as new without the cost. Replacing hard wood floors can cost an arm and a leg, but Lovejoy Carpet Care can have them looking just as good at a fraction of the cost. This is especially true for those high traffic areas that tend to get more wear and tear. Lovejoy will have the floors look uniformly fresh and new.
How do I maintain my hardwood floors?
Lovejoy Carpet Care recommends using Basic Coatings Squeaky cleaner for everyday maintenance.
We have starter kits available, just call us at 508-922-7379. Most DIY stores like Home Depot and Lowe’s sell the spray bottles and floor Microfiber cleaning pads.
We recommend using Basic Coatings Squeaky cleaner once every two weeks (once a week for heavily used floors). Mops are not ideal to clean hardwood floors. Microfiber cleaning pads are perfect for hardwoods as they pickup the dirt and debris while leaving the floor unscratched.
Long-Term Care
For long-term maintenance Lovejoy Carpet Care recommends getting a Professional hardwood cleaning and re-coat once every 2-3 years.
Cleaning and re-coat typically costs a third of the costs of a full sand and refinish. If our maintenance regiment is used your floors will look great for 10 years with the same costs of waiting 10 years and having a full sand, which is much more difficult and time consuming.
For hardwood floors with minor-medium scratches and marks a screen and re-coat will be needed. It is close to the clean and re-coat process while more aggressive.
